...out of the year that it's nice to have a convertible here. This is one of them. Now all I need is a convertible. Any suggestions on one that can haul a family of five?

PS This is the sunset as viewed from my backyard tonight.

HAWT. I have a friend that has one, but I think CPS might have something to say about me selling my kiddos.

What a beautiful view!

What is your budget? If you are buying new, get a Wrangler Unlimited. It's the only 4-door convertible on the market.

The PT Cruiser convertible might also be a good choice if you're looking for something inexpensive on the used end.

Of course there's always those big American convertibles from the 60s and 70s, as well as the Official Car of Florida (Sebring/200 convertible)

My guess is that my budget would be $15-20k next year. My wife won't let me have a Wrangler (worry wart over me flipping it). An old muscle car would be nice, but I wouldn't be allowed to put the kids in it.

I'd love one, but wife won't allow it.

Great sunset. Wow, 5? Not sure.
Where I am, I think there's less than 30 days where I cant drive my drop top.

Wanna come over and listen to some Huey Lewis?

Houston weather isn't an ideal place for a drop top. It's humid, can be hot as hell during the summer, and has a limited number of days that you don't step out of your car dripping with dew after taking a topless drive (get your head out of the gutter). It would be great if they made a Challenger convertible, but they don't. And I wouldn't pay someone a ridiculous amount of money to chop the roof off of one either.

Hmm... Normally I actively try to forget about that car, but that's not a bad idea.

The Eldorado convertible from the 90s/00s might work. Probably the largest modern convertible other than the Wrangler.

Also, forget about the PT Cruiser suggestion. It only seats four; its back seat only holds two people, and there are only 2 seat belts in the second row.
